The paints included in our craft kits are water-based acrylics that may dry permanently on most surfaces if spilled.  We recommend in our instructions that you cover your work surface and wear old clothing while working with ALL craft projects.  Wipe up any spills immediately with soap and water.  Note: Depending on your surface and the manufacturer, you may need to seek that manufacturer’s suggestions or instructions on how to remove stains for that particular surface.

Why does my Enchanted Garden Stones kit contain 8 bags of magic stone mix and the instructions indicate that there should be 4?

There are usually 4 bags of stone mixture. Depending on availability, some kits have 8 at times. There is the same amount of stone mix for both.  When there are 8, combine 2 bags and follow written instructions for each stone.

The mixture is setting up too quickly for my Enchanted Garden Stones what should I do?

In order for the garden stone mix to stay soft for the time that is needed to shape and decorate, you will need to use cool to cold water when mixing.  The temperature of the water may cause a problem if it is not correct.  This problem is sometimes found with mixing different ingredients for recipes too.  If a particular recipe calls for boiling water and cold is used instead, the end result is not always the same.  Measure ½ cup of cool to cold water and slowly pour it into the mixing bag.  After the water and the stone mix are well blended and the mixture has a "mud-pie" consistency, begin pouring, shaping and decorating right away.  The stone will harden in a few minutes.
