Faber-Castell Introduces New Creative Studio Kits to Get Started Doing Color Pencil and Soft Pastels Art

(Cleveland, OH)  Faber-Castell introduces two new Creative Studio kit for students, crafters, and aspiring artists who want to learn the basics of drawing with color pencils and working with soft pastels.  Each kit is to teach basic techniques using fully illustrated instruction cards as a guide.

Getting Started Color Pencil contains 5 Art GRIP Color Pencils in magenta, red, yellow, blue and brown, a pencil sharpener, a rubbing plate and papers, plus an assortment of papers to draw on – vellum, color paper, and multipurpose paper.  The instruction cards cover drawing techniques such as tonal layering, imprimatura, and rubbings.  The Art GRIP pencils are wonderful to work with as their intense pigmentation allows for layering and blending creating various shades and hues.    

Getting Started Soft Pastels includes 12 pastel sticks along with foam blenders, extra fine sand paper sheets, pastel paper and an eraser.  The instruction cards cover coloring and blending techniques to create a variety of pastel effects.  The pastels are a great medium to experiment with as the rich colors can also be applied to other mediums than paper such as wood and ceramics.
