It’s an excellent way to practice clay forming, painting, measuring and cutting. Also, the perfect time to discuss the importance and true meaning of gift giving during the holidays.
How to Make Fingerprint Ornament Christmas Craft for Kids
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Air dry clay
- Tempera paint
- Paintbrushes
- Drinking straw
- Ribbon
- Child Safe scissors
- Ruler

Fingerprint Ornament Instructions:
Roll clay into ball.
Flatten to 1/4″ thickness.(Or use cookie cutter to create desired shape)
Poke hole using a straw.
Use thumbs or fingers to create design. Let clay dry.
Paint!
Let dry.
Cut a 10″ piece of ribbon and thread through hole for hanger.
Knot and trim excess.
