A Valentine's Day tutorial that has us feeling cozy!Â
Hi everyone, Mou Saha here with a hugging heart project fit for children and grown-ups alike using Goldfaber Color Pencils. I have made a complete materials list for you.
Materials:
Grip 2001 Graphite Pencil - HB - #117000
Kneadable Art Eraser - Grey - #127220
Pitt Artist Pen® Metallic - #250 Gold - #167350
Goldfaber Color Pencils - Tin of 48 - #214748
Mixed Media paper, cut to 9 x 6 inches
Scissors
Adhesive
Fold 9 x 6 inches mixed media paper in half to make 4.5 x 6 inches card. Lightly draw half a heart on the top flap of the card with Grip graphite pencil as shown.
Keep the paper folded and cut along the sketched line with scissors.
Open up the paper heart and draw a face on it with pencil.
Color the heart with Goldfaber Color Pencils in shades of yellows, oranges, pinks and reds. You can completely blend the colors smooth or let the texture of pencil strokes show.
Accentuate the facial features with grey and more yellow, orange and red.
Cut out two strips from the same mixed media paper, about 4.5 inches long and 0.75 inches wide with a slight flare on the ends.
Cut out fingers with scissors on the flared end of the strips. Draw a sleeve and make a simple dot pattern with Metallic Gold Pitt Artist Pen.
Glue a strip on each side of the heart and fold them as hands as shown.
Cut out a smaller heart the same way as above and write ‘I Heart U’ with pencil. Color the heart with Goldfaber Color Pencils around the letters. Glue the smaller heart to the folded hands of the hugging heart to finish.
I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial with Goldfaber Color Pencils. Go ahead and brighten someone’s day with the hugging heart!
