The pencil features a hexagonal dark green barrel, reminiscent of Faber-Castell's iconic Castell 9000 wood-cased pencils. One of the most innovative features of the TK-Fine Vario is its pressure-absorbing spring mechanism in the tip, designed to prevent lead breakage. When excessive pressure is applied, the lead retracts into the pencil, avoiding snapping. You can activate or deactivate this mechanism by twisting the grip section, allowing you to customize the pencil's functionality to your preference. When in the soft position, the lead is cushioned for writing. When in the hard position, the lead is held rigid for drawing.
