Big Thinkers:

This activity is a great precursor to learning how to fly a kite. It also lets kids keep their creations close at hand to reduce the risk of them flying away.

Skill Development:

Visual Perception: Seeing how artwork looks on a new shape like a tube helps children imagine what other 2D creations could turn into. Fine Motor Skills: Punching holes, attaching string and manipulating objects in the wind holistically builds fine motor control.
