Roll Up Charlie - Toddler Modeling Dough Activity

Ready to rock and roll? Make a ball, make a roll, and then make a friend! Charlie can’t wait to smile at you when you finish modeling him.
Time: 15 minutes
Recommended Art Materials:

Step 1:
Pop your Charlie the curious cat printable on the table with your Soft Modeling Dough and Play Safe Scissors.
Step 2:
To start creating, begin by rolling the dough into a smooth round ball. Place a flat hand on the dough ball and roll in a round circle shape until the dough has formed a round ball.

Step 3:
It's time to make the long roll of dough. Place one hand on the middle of the ball. Change the direction of your hand and move it backwards and forwards to create a long roll.
Step 4:
Get ready to snip! Using your Play Safe Scissors, carefully cut your long dough roll into shorter rolls that fit onto the printable.

Step 5:
Become a snipping master by repeating this step with different colours to complete to Charlie’s face.
Tip:
Learning to estimate using visual perception to cut the dough rolls to size is a great early learning measurement skill!
