Festival of Colors Holi Watercolor Art

Hi everyone, Mou Saha here with a tutorial to create a Happy Holi word art using Watercolors in Pans.

Recommended Materials:

Watercolors in Pans 48ct

Grip 2001 Graphite Pencil

Kneadable Art Eraser - Grey

Mixed Media paper

Trim mixed media paper to 6x9 inches. 

Lightly sketch a water piston or pichkari using a Grip 2001 Graphite Pencil. Outline a gush of color and hand-letter "happy Holi" in that space. 

Color the top sprout of the water piston using Watercolor Pans.

Create a pattern on the cylinder of the piston using Watercolor Pans.

Start coloring the color gush leaving the hand-lettering blank. Let the watercolors mix and mingle on their own.

Continue creating a rainbow of colors as shown. Add color splatters along the edges of the color gush to finish.
